I started with a project… The 365/100 Project in late 2010. My goal was to lose 100 lbs in a year. I found that my journey was far more complicated than calories in, calories out. In my daily blog I discovered that you can’t just write about food and exercise as that is not the whole picture. There are so many facets of life that play into your healthy and not-so-healthy habits and if you don’t express and examine them, you’re doomed to repeat the same mistakes along the way (as I did – plenty of times).
I didn’t achieve all the weight loss I wanted that year, got pregnant again (2012), gained some weight back due to prolonged sleep deprivation (my baby didn’t sleep through the night until 18 months & it still comes and goes… ugh), and got pregnant again (2016), so as a continuation of my Project (because I still have plenty of weight to lose), I will be writing here… about my journey as a newly 40-something year old wife and mother of one son and a two little girls trying to figure out fitness, finances and parenting while learning how to cope with life’s curve balls without derailing my health.

(I decided to be my own competition and hope to kick my own butt and improve my results a second time around) 😉
I also started eating following the Keto plan late April2017. I am embracing LOW CARB living!!! So far it’s my favorite “diet” ever… never been so satisfied and full and within or under my calories.
